Rangers Defeat Tigers

The Rangers began their new series with a win. Texas defeated the Detroit Tigers 1-0 at Comerica Park. Marcus Semien finished the day 1-for-4 with an RBI. Ezequiel Duran and Jonah Heim recorded a pair of hits apiece to help Texas snap a two-game losing skid. Starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen earned his first win of the season after tossing four strikeouts over five scoreless frames. Kirby Yates recorded his first save as the Rangers moved to 9-and-8. The Rangers visit the Tigers again this afternoon.
