I would love to say the San Antonio Spurs have way too much pride and I have way too much respect for their brain trust to bury them right now.  But that would be a lie.  They’re a marvel as an organization, but I’ve got my shovel out and their window has already slammed shut.  Sure, maybe they come back home, rise up, win one more and salvage some pride.  But they’re not beating Memphis, who is younger, bigger, more athletic, hungrier and just better ….three games in a row.  The Spurs won’t be getting out of the first round, for the third time in four years and considering how great they’ve been, it’s tough to see.  New York met Willie Mays stumbling around in center field, and Joe Namath getting murdered as a Rams quarterback thinks this is sad to watch. This was a must win game for the Spurs and they still got curb-stomped.
