I understand why Cowboys decided to franchise tag Anthony Spencer. I really do. What has me ticked off is that it had to get to this point. Years of years of settling for just decent players, tricking fans into thinking people like soon to be released Bradie James elite has led to this day. They don't have very many good players and for Jerry Jones to suggest he has talent to make a Super Bowl run is an insult to me and you and us. Spencer benefits today from the great Rick Gosselin mentioned last week and that's that Jones doesn't have the guts to change very often. As soon as he gets a decent (not good or great) player he locks him up (see Orlando Scandrick and Doug Free) and then you wind up with a whole bunch of decent not good football players. You know what they gets you? 8-8 and still the softest underbelly in the NFL.
