About a year ago or so my wife decided she wanted to be an anchor. She's an outstanding street reporter but after having the twins I think she decided to stop chasing pavements and tone it down... or maybe it's because anchors make more money? Ha! Anyhow, I told her "Honey, if you want to anchor you're gonna have to go somewhere where they're gonna let you anchor." Little did I know I'd wind up 2 hours from the Canadian border! But here it is. Time to go.

To clarify the confusing headline to this piece, yes we're moving to Green Bay. Jenn is going to be the morning anchor at NBC 26! I have zero doubt that she's gonna go up there and tear it up. But I am NOT leaving Ticket 760. The company, with some concessions, is keeping me on the air. I'm not going to be talking Packers, although I suspect they're going to the Super Bowl, and I'm not going to do Bucks post game show. It's still a San Antonio show for San Antonians. The magic of it all is that I'll be doing the presentation from my house in Green Bay. How cool is that? KMIKE studios. I plan to do the show in my skivvies often.

The other kick to this bit is that Sports Talk San Antonio is moving from 4-7pm in the afternoon to 6-9am in the morning... the concession I mentioned. All of the bits we currently do in the afternoons we'll do in the mornings. Instead of Mantertainment News being everyday at 5:45pm it'll be at 7:45am. People I Wanna Punch will be every Wednesday at 8:15am... and Doin Thangs will commence at 8:45am Fridays. Ya dig?

The goal is to be back in SA at least once a month.. it's actually in my contract that I have to get back once a quarter but it'll be much more often than that. The world has gotten smaller and there's no reason I couldn't do the show from the Mir space station so Green Bay is relatively a short distance compared to what the possibilities are. I will always be Puro San Antonio and any and all things Texas. This duel citizenship doesn't change any of that. I do look forward to experiencing Wisconsin. Lambeau Field. Cheese. Beer. Cubs v. Rangers in April. But make no mistake.... STSA will do what it always does. Just a bit earlier in the day.
