I was amused at hearing that question being asked by another radio show on another dial in another city recently. I guess the "anniversary" of the Chicks' embroglio with radio companies over the GW Bush comments was the other day or something so these guys were talking about it. I can say that the Dixie Chicks are doing just fine. In fact they have a couple of Canadian gigs coming up this year. Emily and her sister Martie have another band called Courtyard Hounds that has put out material for quite awhile and just played some brand new tunes at SXSW. Their male guitarist and co-writer is a dude called Marty Strayer, a fine member of the Thunderdome STSA listener base. Shout out to Marty and the Hounds' success!
