This week at Valley Ranch the starting RB complained about not running enough. The head coach (who used to call plays) says the play caller (Bill Callaghan) needs to run more. The current play caller (Callaghan) decided to give Murray more carries than he's ever gotten in the NFL. Perhaps it was a combination of Callaghan saying, "fine, carry it 26 friggin times, then"... perhaps it was simply an assistant heeding his boss' call. Whatever the case, in their weird little dysfunctional way the Cowboys blew somebody out after a week of complaining. This was an example of Garrett telling his play caller to do something and it got done and Dallas got a win. All that matters.
Sort of along that same front Jason Hatcher decided to call out Tony Romo, among others, in a meeting after practice. Not only did Hatcher follow it up by playing excellent, so did Romo and so did the entire team. Wow, full fledged leadership and somebody having the gumption to call Romo out. Not Garrett, not Jerry, not a trouble making wide receiver but Jason Hatcher. It's about time. The last time somebody stood up and called out Romo was Terrell Owens and he wound up in a fight with Jason Witten. Or so the story goes. I don't believe anybody in that organization has held Romo accountable since Bill Parcells stalked the halls. Thumbs up, Hatcher.
